Porzingis scores 20 points; Mavericks beat Trail Blazers

In NBA action on Thursday, Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis scored 20 points, helping his Dallas Mavericks defeat the Portland Trail Blazers 133:125, infomed LETA.

The Latvian also pulled down five rebounds, made one assist, one steal and blocked two shots.

Luka Doncic led the scoring for the Mavericks with 27 points, six rebounds and nine assists.

Damian Lillard was the top scorer for the Trail Blazers with 47 points.

In the NBA's Western Conference standings at the moment, the Mavericks are in fifth place with 27 wins and 16 losses.

Up next for the Mavericks - a road game on Saturday at the Utah Jazz.
