Tallink's passenger number decreases by 6% in August y-o-y

Estonia’s largest passenger shipping company AS Tallink Grupp told NASDAQ OMX Tallinn that in August 2014, it transported 876,013 passengers which is nearly a 6% decrease compared to August 2013, informs LETA.

The number of trucks and trailers decreased by almost 2% to 24,846 units and the number of passenger vehicles decreased by 2% to 120,188 in the same comparison.

 

The number of passengers on the Finland-Sweden route decreased by 1.4% in August as compared to August last year. On the Estonia-Finland route, the August year-on-year fall was 2.2%; on the Estonia-Sweden route the August fall was 6.1% on the Latvia-Sweden route, the August fall was 37.3%.

 

 In August, the cruise ferry Romantika stopped operating on the Riga-Stockholm route, the cruise ferry Isabelle continues operating on the route as the only vessel.
