Uralkhim subsidiary acquires Ventamonjaks

The Ventspils company Ventamonjaks has been acquired by Despina Capital, a company where 55% of shares belong to the Cyprus-registered Uralchem Freight, a subsidiary of the Uralkhim company, and 45% to the Latvia-registered joint-stock company Halcyon Capital, informs LETA/Nozare.lv.

Previously Ventamonjaks belonged to the Switzerland-registered company Transmar Holding.

 

Uralchem Freight also has a 51% stake in Riga Fertilizer Terminal, which operates at the Riga Port and recently launched a new terminal for handling of mineral fertilizers.


Despina Capital was registered this past February, its share capital is EUR 50,000. Halcyon Capital was also established this past February.

 

Uralkhim is one of the world's leading producers of mineral fertilizers that supplies mineral fertilizers to farms in Russia and abroad. The company has four plants in Russia.

 

Ventamonjaks operated with losses of EUR 510,039 last year, the company's turnover amounted to EUR 3.8 million.
