"Taking into account the difficult state on the cars market accompanying the economic decline, which is in turn amplified by stricter loan and leasing terms implemented by banks, car companies are focussed on lowering prices of particular brands and executing discount campaigns and are not prepared to invest into marketing activities outside their own leaderships," stated exposition-organising enterprise Eesti Näitused in its press release.
Eesti Näituste AS offered companies selling and servicing cars to organise direct marketing campaigns in the framework of Motorex 2009, but the proposal was not received favourably by car dealerships.
Projections on the cars market foresee continued decline of car sales this year and probably also next year; hence companies are not planning in their marketing budgets to take place in fairs or expositions.
Motorex was planned to take place from May 14-17 in Tallinn.
