Transport Ministry of Lithuania to take care of disappointed flyLAL passengers

The Transport Ministry of Lithuania intends to take care of the interests of people, who have purchased flight tickets from flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines, by all possible means.

"The Transport Ministry will use all possible measures to force the company flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines to implement its commitments to passengers. The company will be required to immediately submit a plan for solving the situation to fulfill the expectations of the people, who have bought flight tickets," Minister Eligijus Masiulis said ELTA.

 

On Monday, Minister Masiulis arranges an urgent meeting on defending the interests of the passengers. On January 17, the airline company announced about the suspension of its activities due to inability to implement its financial commitments.

 

Almost 30,000 people have bought flight tickets in advance.

 

The debts of flyLAL under liabilities stand at about 90 million litas (25.89 million euros).

 

flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines employs 360 people.
