Estonia's car of the year 2014 is Volkswagen Golf

Print versionEstonian car journalists picked, at the initiative of the Tehnikamaailm magazine, the Estonian Car of the Year for the 14th time; in 2013 the title went to Volkswagen Golf, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Magazine Tehnikamaailm editor in chief Tõnu Ojala said that it was hard for the jury to pick the title winner since there were a total of around 40 new models to choose from.
The top six of the Estonian Car of the Year 2014 contest were as follows: Volkswagen Golf, Škoda Octavia, Seat Leon, Honda CR-V, Peugeot 308 and Subaru Forester.
Ojala said that the top three models were technically very similar and actually all deserved to win the title.
Estonia's Car of the Year 2013 was Mercedes-Benz A-class.
