Estonian national carrier Estonian Air announced that in the first three months of the year 2013, it carried altogether 121,691 passengers, out of which 120,080 on regular flights. In March Estonian Air carried 45,451 passengers, out of which 44,453 on regular flights.

In the first three months last year, Estonian Air carried 139,157 and year before last 120,155 passengers. In March last year, Estonian Air carried 56,755 and year before last 46,312 passengers.

According to Rauno Parras, the CCO of Estonian Air, the passenger’s number of first months is reflecting remarkable reduction of the operations of the airline on the beginning of the year.

“The current flight capacity and passenger’s number is in the same range as before the enlargement in 2011. Our team is developing Estonian Air from a traditional carrier to a small cost effective and competitive regional airline serving Estonian market with core route network of ten destinations, where there is a solid fundamental demand," he said.

Estonian Air flies to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Moscow, St Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius and Trondheim. In addition, from June to August, Estonian Air will fly between Tallinn and Paris, and from May to September to Nice.

In the first quarter Estonian Air operated 2,850 flights, out of which 1,000 flights in March.
