"According to approximate calculations based on the 2012 passenger numbers, Estonian Air could have brought over 40 million euros to Estonia via spending of foreign tourists if we subtract from the total figure transit passengers and trips of Estonians residents and divide the number with two to get one direction," said economy ministry PR adviser Rasmus Ruuda.
Estonian Air council chairman Erkki Raasuke has said that it takes an estimated 50-70 million euros to help the troubled carrier back on its feet.
