Alla Petrova, BC, Riga, 22.11.2012.Print version
On Monday, on a New York-Frankfurt flight carrying 264 passengers, a German citizen on board helped the aircraft make an emergency landing at Dublin airport, after one of the co-pilots took ill and could not perform his duties.

To note here, also on board the Lufthansa "Boeing 747" was the Latvian Radio Choir, the Latvian Radio Orchestra and the chamber orchestra "Sinfonietta Riga", informs LETA.

The Evening Herald calls the German citizen a hero, adding that he is a certified pilot for another airline. He had offered his assistance, having heard that the co-pilot was "out of action."
