airBaltic served 16% more passengers in Vilnius in August 2008

Print versionLatvian airlines airBaltic in August 2008 witnessed 70,600 passengers in Vilnius International Airport, an increase of 16% year-on-year.

A total of 44,900 passengers used the services of this air company in Lithuania in January-August this year, an increase of 18% compared to the first eight months of 2007, informs ELTA.
The number of flights performed by airBaltic also increased: in August this figure advanced 15% (1127 flights conducted), and over the first eight months of 2008 it grew 21% (8363 flights conducted) year-on-year.
In August airBaltic served 294,400 people from Vilnius and Riga airports, 37% more year-on-year. The airlines performed 4596 flights, an increase of 30%.
The cabin factor of airBaltic planes flying from Vilnius stood at 71% in August. This index for flights from Riga and Vilnius stood at 72% that month.
