Transport Ministry: problems at Krajbanka will not directly influence airBaltic’s operation
Alla Petrova, BC, Riga, 22.11.2011.Print version
The halt in Latvijas Krajbanka operations will not directly influence the operations of Latvian national airline airBaltic, Transport Ministry State Secretary Anrijs Matiss told the business information portal Nozare.lv today.
He pointed out that only a small sum of the
airline's funds have been frozen at the bank, writes LETA.
Matiss also pointed out to members of the press that there is hope of gaining
access to these funds.
As reported, last week, airBaltic’s
private shareholder Baltijas Aviacijas
Sistemas that the scandal surrounding Lithuania's Snoras bank, which co-owns Krajbanka,
will not influence the airline's financial situation.
Latvijas Krajbanka is one of BAS's main lenders.
