Tallinn Airport board member Erik Sakkov says that the troubled Latvian aviation company airBaltic has debts to them, LETA/Äripäev.ee reports.

“The honest answer is, yes,” Sakkov about Äripäev’s inquiry about debts but did not reveal how big airBaltic’s debt is.

Yesterday airBaltic cancelled several flights including on Tallinn-Riga route. Sakkov said that people that gathered in the airport were irritated and several had to reschedule their whole flights plan.

airBaltic has not explained the cancellations. Some press publications claim that the flights were cancelled because not enough tickets were sold.
