In January-February number of airBaltic passengers decreased by 5%

Latvian airline airBaltic carried 178,809 passengers in February 2011 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 4% decrease comparing with the same month in 2010, when airBaltic transported 186,653 passengers, informed BC Janis Vanags, vice president of corporate communications at airBaltic.

During the two months of 2011, airBaltic transported a total of 366,045 passengers, or 5% less than during the same period in 2010, when the total number of passengers was 385,738.

 

In February, airBaltic operated 3,694 flights, or 4% more than in February 2010 when airBaltic operated 3,565 flights.

 

 

The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in February 2011 was at a level of 62% - or 1% point more than in February 2010.

 

The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 89.8% in February 2011. This means that almost 90 of every 100 airBaltic flights in February departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
