airBaltic evaluaties possibility on adding new Middle East destinations

Latvian national airline is evaluating the possibility of adding new Middle East destinations to its route network, including Oman, which is in the airline's interest zone, the airline informed the business information portal Nozare.lv.

airBaltic has already established cooperation with OmanAir, and the airlines are happy that intergovernmental agreements are being drawn up between Latvia and Oman.

 

The Latvian airline is also assessing the possibility to add Syria and other Middle East destinations to its route network. Discussions with representatives from Syria could take place in the near future, informs LETA.

 

As reported, airBaltic was established in 1995, its principal shareholders are the state of Latvia with 52.6% of the shares and the company Baltijas aviacijas sistemas, owned by the airline's president Bertolt Flick, with 47.2% of the shares.
