Passenger volume at Airport has increased by 17% in 9 months

In the first nine months of the year 2010, Airport Riga has serviced 3,588,376 passengers, which is a 17% increase when compared to the first nine months of 2009, the business information portal Nozare.lv was informed by the airport.

This past September, Airport Riga serviced 454,036 passengers, which is 17.4% of 67,249 more passengers when compared to September of 2009, informs LETA.

 

In September 2010, the aircraft turnover was 6,361 which is by 17.1% more than in the year before when 5,433 aircraft were served.

 

The total nine-month aircraft turnover this year is 52,136 which is by 15.4% more than last year when the aircraft turnover reached 45,169.

 

1,149 tons of various cargoes was handled in September at the airport, and that is by 39.3% more than in September 2009 when 825 tons of cargo was handled at the airport. A total of 8,707 tons of cargo has been handled at Airport Riga over the first nine months of the year and that is by 34.4% more than the 6,480 tons of various cargo handled last year.
