Bertolt Flick, president of the Latvian national airline airBaltic, has submitted declarations of income dating back to 2006 to the State Revenue Service (SRS), according to information available from the SRS public database. This follows a dispute between Flick and the SRS going back several years over the obligation of state officials to submit declarations of income. Flick finally submitted a declaration at the end of last year; however, the SRS insisted on also receiving further declarations dating back to 2006, which Flick has now done, informs LETA.

In 2008, Flick's salary from airBaltic was LVL 341,380. Housing expenses of LVL 19,545 were received from Riga airport, and a salary of LVL 1,923 was received from Baltic Airlines.

In 2007, Flick received LVL 214,285 from airBaltic, housing expenses of LVL 20,855, and LVL 1,440 from Baltic Airlines.

In 2006, his salary from airBaltic was LVL 149,220, housing expenses of LVL 20,855 were received from Riga airport, and a salary of LVL 630 was received from Baltic Airlines.

The declaration submitted on December 23, 2009 indicates that Flick held debts of LVL 14 million.

The information now available from the public database indicates that the airBaltic president made a commercial pledge worth LVL 28.2 million last year, made a purchase for LVL 14 million, and took out a loan of LVL 14 million.
