Estonian Air increased its passenger numbers by 4.8% in June

In comparison to the month of June in 2009, Estonian Air increased its passenger numbers slightly in 2010, but the half-year results are lower than last year, writes LETA/Äripäev.ee.

In June, Estonian Air carried a total of 60,415 passengers, 55,209 of them on regular flights. In the year-on-year comparison, the total number of passengers grew by 4.8% – by 69% on chartered flights and by 1.1% on regular flights.

 

In the first half of 2010, a total of 264,726 passengers flew with Estonian Air, 236,474 of them on regular flights. A total of 251,287 passengers (including those on chartered flights) were carried through the Tallinn Airport.

 

The total number of passengers serviced in the first half of the year fell by 4.5% in the year-on-year comparison – by 5.7% on regular flights.

 

In the first six months of 2010, Estonian Air’s market share on regular flights in the Tallinn Airport was 42% – by 3.4 percentage points less than during the same period of time last year.

 

A total of 4,969 flights were operated in six months, 947 of them in June.

 

The regularity rate of Estonian Air’s flights was 97.3% and the punctuality rate 86.8%. The numbers in June were 98.7% and 87.9%, respectively.
