Profits of Estonian Air Traffic Service decreased in H1

Print versionIn comparison to the first half of 2009, the Air Traffic Service Company earned more than a couple of per cent in operating revenue because of the volcanic ashes that halted the air traffic, writes Äripäev.ee/LETA.

The enterprise earned 101 million kroons in operating revenue in the first six months of 2010 – by 2.4% less than during the same period of time last year. Due to the volcanic ashes that erupted in the air in Iceland, the enterprise failed to earn approximately 4 million kroons in revenue.
The company’s net profits in the first half of the year amounted to 8.7 million kroons. Cash flow was positive, amounting to 32 million kroons. The return on the equity capital is 9%.
In the first half of 2010, the Tallinn flight information district was used by 76,212 flights – by 1% more than during the same period of time last year; Flight traffic volume in Europe fell by 1% during the same period of time.
