BC, Vilnius, 23.09.2020.
Print version

The number of railway passengers went down 17.7% past summer 2020, compared last year, but the drop was not radical, taking into account challenges induced by the coronavirus, says LTG Link, the passenger transportation arm of Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways), Lithuania's state-owned railway company, cites LETA/BNS.

The number of passengers on local train routes dropped 28% in June, went down 14% in July and decreased 11% in August.
Taking into account the fact that passengers flows on local routes plunged more than 80% during the peak of the pandemic, the company views its summer results positively.
