Lithuanians post H1 growth on German toll roads, unlike other haulers
BC, Vilnius, 31.07.2020.Print version
Lithuanian haulage companies were the only ones whose trucks drove more kilometers on toll roads in Germany in the first half of 2020 than in the same period last year, the business daily Verslo Zinios reported on Friday, writes LETA/BNS.
Haulers based in a significant part of other EU member countries posted double-digit declines in mileage covered in Germany.
The Federal Office for Goods Transport has released figures showing that the total mileage covered by heavy goods vehicles on German general roads dropped by 4.5 percent in the first quarter year-on-year, even though the situation began to stabilize in June.
