ilnius and Tbilisi are considering relaunching flights between the countries from July 1, writes LETA/BNS.

Lithuanian Transport Minister Jaroslav Narkevic and Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Natela Turnava discussed the possible resumption of flights during their video conversation on Monday, the Lithuanian Transport Ministry said.

Georgia is one of the most popular tourism destinations for Lithuanians, and tourism is a very significant part of Georgia's economy.

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia last week reopened their internal borders to each other's citizens and people legally residing in the countries.

The coronavirus pandemic derailed plans to launch direct summer-season flights between Vilnius and Tbilisi. Hungary's Wizz Air earlier operated flights to the Georgian city of Kutaisi.
