Registration of vehicles in Estonia fell by 63% in June y-o-y

Print version2,951 vehicles were registered in Estonia for the first time in June 2009 – 63% less than a year before, writes the National Broadcasting/LETA.

1,920 of these vehicles were cars.
According to the Roads Administration, 401 trailers, 182 lorries, 173 motorcycles, 138 small vessels, 49 tractors, 26 tractor trailers, 25 buses, 24 non-road vehicles, 10 jet bikes and 3 all-terrain vehicles were entered into the traffic register in June.
Among 1,920 cars entered into the registry, 982 cars were new. In comparison to last June, registration of cars has fallen by 64%.
The Roads administration noted that many of the changes in the Traffic Register took place during the last working days in June – on June 30, 319 vehicles were registered – 11% of first registrations during the entire month.
