Lithuanian regulator suspends Small Planet Airlines' license, other carrier to fly travelers

Print versionLithuania's Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) said on Wednesday it had suspended the air operating license of the financially-troubled charter carrier Small Planet Airlines, reported LETA/BNS.

The suspension is effective as of Thursday, November 29.
According to CAA, another air carrier will operate flights
for the tour operators Novaturas and Tez Tour according to schedule.
Tez Tour said its
travelers would be flown by its new partner, GetJet Airlines, starting Thursday. The same carrier will operate
flights for Novaturas.
The 15min news website quoted Small Planet Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Simonas Bartkus as saying that the Vilnius Regional Court had on
Wednesday rejected the company's petition for restructuring.
The airline filed for restructuring with German, Polish and
Lithuanian courts in September and October. It also operates in Cambodia.
