Lithuania's urgent parcel company TNT, owned by US parcel company FedEx, posted 24.2 million euros in revenue for the last financial year, netting a profit of 975,000 euros, informs LETA/BNS.

"The result was influenced by the economic situation in Lithuania and other European countries," the company said in an annual report to the Center of Registers.

Throughout 2015, the company had received 15.208 million euros in revenue and 975,100 euros in profit.

In May of 2016, US FedEx purchased Finland's TNT Suomi, the operator of the Lithuanian company, and decided in December to revise Lithuanian company's financial year – now it opens in June and closes next May. The change makes it impossible to compare the TNT financial results, as the last financial year lasted 17 months.

In the last financial year, TNT had an average of 91 employees (83 in 2015).

Finland's TNT Suomi owns a 100-% stake in the Lithuanian company, while the final shareholder is the US FedEx Corporation.
