Airport Riga's market share in the Baltics was at 45% in 2015

Print versionThe market share of Riga International Airport in the Baltics was at 45% in 2015, as Olegs Baranovs, Director of the Economy Ministry's National Economy Structural Policy Department, said at an aviation industry forum today, cites LETA.

According to Baranovs, the market share in the Baltics of Vilnius Airport was at 29% last year, but Tallinn Airport at 26%.
Baranovs said that from 2000 to the present, there has been a five-fold increase in the number of passengers transported by air to and from Latvia, reaching five million passengers per year.
State-owned joint-stock company Starptautiska Lidosta Riga, which operates Riga International Airport, achieved EUR 49 million in turnover last year and posted EUR 1.2 million in profit.
