airBaltic aims to raise turnover to nearly EUR 500 mln by 2021

By successfully implementing its Horizon 2021 business plan, Latvian national carrier airBaltic hopes to turn over EUR 471 million in 2021, the company’s board member Vitolds Jakovlevs said at a forum on Latvia’s aviation industry, cites LETA.

He said that the airline is also projecting significant profit growth. In line with the targets included in the business plan, airBaltic should generate EUR 56 million in operating profit in 2021.

 

The company also plans on increasing its fleet from 24 to 34 aircraft, raise the number of air passengers from 2.6 million to four million and expand its market share from 31% to 36%. The number of seats on airBaltic flights is supposed to grow from 3.9 million to 5.3 million.

 

airBaltic, established in 1995, reported EUR 235 million in turnover and a profit of EUR 19.5 million for 2015.
