Latvijas Pasts turnover increases, profit falls in 2014

Turnover of the Latvijas Pasts postal company increased 7% to EUR 61.4 million in 2014, whereas the company's profit fell 2.6 times to EUR 1.71 million, reports LETA, according to Firmas.lv.

In 2013, the company posted EUR 57.8 million in turnover and EUR 4.54 million in profit.

 

In addition, the number of Latvijas Pasts employees decreased from 4,300 in 2013 to 4,189 last year. In 2012, Latvijas Pasts had 4,413 employees.

 

According to Latvijas Pasts management report, 2014 was a successful year for the company as it was able to keep its market share and continue to provide quality services. The results last year were also better than originally anticipated. The company implemented a number of measures to increase income by developing new products, upgrading the existing products, and continuing work on new services and products.

 

In 2015, optimization of the company's administration will continue, as well as upgrades to the production, logistics, and technological processes at the company.
