Cyclists gathered for "Critical Mass" in Riga

Print versionThe annual cycling event "Critical Mass" took place in Riga at 1 p.m. on May 1, 2015, informs LETA.

The aim is to focus on the fact that cyclists are still not considered as equal traffic participants, furthermore, the increasing number of automobiles threatens the environment and human health.
"We are not blocking the traffic, we are the traffic!" the event's organizers announced.
Traditionally, participants of "Critical Mass" gather at the Daile Theater to embark on spontaneously chosen routes throughout the streets of Riga.
