Rigas kugu buvetava suffers EUR 1.087 mln losses in 2014

The Riga shipyard Rigas kugu buvetava (RKB) concluded 2014 with gross profit in the amount of EUR 65,244; but net losses in 2014 totaled EUR 1,087,879, according to the company's financial report submitted to the "Nasdaq" Riga Stock Exchange, cites LETA.

In 2014, the total net turnover of RKB amounted to EUR 17,896,269 (manufacture of ships – EUR 7,849,702, repair of ships – EUR 9,738,965), as compared to 2013 when the total net turnover reached 53,730,879 (manufacture of ships – EUR 37,645,042, repair of ships – EUR 15,214,037).

 

RKB concluded its year of account with gross profit in the amount of EUR 65,244. In 2013, the company suffered gross losses in the amount of EUR 1,127,211. Net losses in 2014 reached EUR 1,087,879, down from EUR 1,926,775 in 2013.

 

In 2014, RKB repaired 51 ships (in 2013 – 60), built four hulls and the last of the five SWATH patrol vessels for the Defense Ministry.

 

RKB's main suppliers are Western Europe, Estonia, Lithuania, and also Latvia. The main clients are from Scandinavia, Western Europe, and Latvia.

 

RKB's largest shareholder is Remars-Riga (49.86%), several private individuals (34.73%) and other limited companies (15.41%).
