Latvian transport minister invites Sokolov to Riga summit

Print versionTransport Minister of Latvia Anrijs Matiss, who spent yesterday in Moscow, took the opportunity to invite his Russian counterpart – Maxim Sokolov – to the III ASEM Summit in Riga at the end of April 2015, informs LETA.

The high-level conference gathers European and Asian transport ministers, and it is being organized in Riga as part of the special events calendar during Latvia's EU presidency.
At their meeting yesterday, Matiss and Sokolov reviewed the matter of international trucking in connection with recent alterations in Russian legislation that pertain to transit procedure to third countries, and proper supervision of freight flow.
