Print versionPassenger rail transportation company Pasazieru vilciens saw a 7.67% reduction in passenger volumes in 2014, LETA was informed by the company.

A total of 17.9 million passenger were transported by rail last year, which was 7.67% less than the previous year.
Meanwhile, this past January, the company transported 1.22 million passengers, which was 5.1% less when compared to January 2014, when the company transported 1.29 million passengers.
The company says that a reduction in passenger numbers is expected for 2015, as the company continues to renovate and modernize rail lines, platforms and stations throughout the country.
