Tallink registers 2% decrease in passenger numbers in June y-o-y

Estonia's biggest passenger shipping company AS Tallink Grupp informed the Tallinn stock exchange that in June 2015, it transported 882,635 passengers, which is almost a 2% decrease compared to June 2014, informs LETA.

The number of trucks and trailers decreased by 1% to 25,601 units and the number of passenger vehicles decreased over 8% to 115,295 in the same comparison.

 

In the second quarter of the 2015 financial year (April-June) AS Tallink Grupp transported 2,356,039 passengers which was slightly less compared to the previous year. The number of trucks and trailers decreased by almost 1% to 78,663 units transported and the number of passenger vehicles was slightly less with 298,723 units transported.

 

The number of passengers on the Finland-Sweden route grew by 1.4% in June as compared to June last year and 5.6% in the first half of the year year-on-year. On the Estonia-Finland route, the June year-on-year growth was 3.1% and first half growth 4.8%; on the Estonia-Sweden route the June growth was 1.6% and first half fall 5.1%; on the Latvia-Sweden route, the June fall was 43.2% and first half fall 42.3%.
