Lithuanian travel agency Voyage-Voyage inflicts EUR 285,000 in damages

Print versionAfter director of Lithuanian travel agency Voyage-Voyage, which ceased operations, submitted information about the company's liabilities, it transpired that 184 tourists incurred damages totalling EUR 285,000, reports LETA/ELTA.

The State Department of Tourism (VTD) has received claims from 38 tourists regarding outstanding liabilities of the travel agency. The claims exceed the amount of EUR 91,000. The validity of requested compensation amounts will be reviewed.
Travel agency Voyage-Voyage, which declared cessation of activities in early April, had insured its activities for an amount slightly over EUR 91,000.
The State Department of Tourism (VTD) has asked the aggrieved persons to submit claims over compensations by 3 July.
