Residential property price in Lithuania's capital grows in Q3

Based on preliminary data on residential property prices provided by the state enterprise the Centre of Registers in Lithuania, in the third quarter of 2014 compared with the second quarter, prices fell only of apartments in old multi-dwelling residential buildings. Nonetheless, prices still exceeded the 2013 level, writes LETA/ELTA.

Based on provisional assessments, in the third quarter of 2014 the average price of old apartments stood at LTL 4,031 (EUR 1,167) per square metre, i.e. by 2.5% less compared with the second quarter but by 12% more compared with the average price in 2013.

 

In the third quarter of 2014 the average price of new apartments in Vilnius was LTL 5,087 (EUR 1,473) per square metre, i.e. by 8.9% more than in early 2014 and by 14.8% more than the 2013 average.

 

In the third quarter of 2014 the average price of old detached houses sold in Vilnius was LTL 3,556 (EUR 1,029) per square metre, by 19.1% more compared with the third quarter of 2013. Meanwhile, the average price of new detached houses sold in Vilnius was LTL 2,547 (EUR 737), by 11% more compared with the second quarter and by 9.7% more than the average price in 2013.
