DNB issues EUR 3.7 mln loan to Sisne Invest Riga for acquisition of PK Riga hotel

Latvia's DNB Banka has issued a EUR 3.7 million loan to Sisne Invest Riga for acquisition of PK Riga hotel, the bank announced. At the same time, DNB bank in Estonia has granted a EUR 4.4 million loan for purchase of PK Ilmarine hotel in Tallinn. Both hotels are part of PK Hotels chain, informs LETA.

"The number of tourists in Latvia increased 5-7% last year, basically on account of tourists from Western Europe. This positive trend provides a special impetus for continuous development of the tourism industry, including hotels, and for the bank to launch cooperation with new players in the industry,” said DNB Banka's Vice President Lauris Macijevskis.

 

PK Hotels is a hotel chain comprising three hotels situated in Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia) and Bad Kreuznach (Germany).

 

PK Hotels is part of the Estonian real estate group Pro Kapital Grupp.

 

Sisne Invest Riga was registered in Latvia in July 2017, and is fully owned by Estonia's Sisne Invest Latvia, according to Firmas.lv business information website.

 

In terms of assets at the end of June 2017, DNB Banka was the seventh largest bank in Latvia, according to the data of the Latvian Association of Commercial Banks.
