Peep Peterson elected the new head of Estonian Trade Unions Confederation

Print versionThe council of the Estonian Trade Unions Confederation (ETUC) elected on Thursday long-term head of the Transport Trade Union Peep Peterson as the new chairman of ETUC, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

The other candidate running for the post was Tiia Edith Tammeleht who has worked for 8 years as the ETUC legal secretary.
The new chairman will replace Harri Taliga, who announced of his resignation in December last year, on March 4. By the beginning of March, Taliga would have worked 15 years in ETUC.
