BC, Tallinn, 16.01.2013.Print version
A major malfunction in the systems of one of Estonia's largest telecommunications companies Elion has disturbed several of its services since Tuesday evening, on January 15th, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

The malfunction started at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and at first switched off the company's smart-TV service, hot.ee mail environment, business e-mail service and web hosting. This means that work of web pages of several companies, like airline Estonian Air or the Public Broadcasting is severely disturbed.

While SmartTV service was restored Wednesday morning, the company hopes to restore the other services fully by the end of the day.

The company said that the causes of the malfunction are connected to service servers. The company promised to publish information about compensating the damages caused to clients during the day.
