Estonia's biggest taxpayer is Neste in 2014

The Estonian Tax and Customs Board revealed on Friday the aggregate amount of taxes paid by taxpayers from the start of this year till September 30, 2014, and it emerged that considering all paid taxes, the biggest taxpayer in Estonia is Finnish fuel company's Estonian branch Neste Eesti AS, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

Neste Eesti has since the beginning of the year paid taxes of 32.9 million euros to the Estonian state. Philip Morris Eesti OÜ was on the second position, having paid to the Treasury 21.4 million euros and the third was Kroodi Terminal AS with 13.3 million euros.

 

As expected, at the head of the table there are first and foremost wholesale excise goods trading companies. The top three were followed by Oiltanking Tallinn AS (12.8 million), Eugesta Eesti AS (12 million) and A. Le Coq AS (10.6 million).

 

The first company that is primarily engaged in retail trade was Maxima Eesti AS on the 7th place with nearly ten million euros; 8th was Tallink, 9th Elion and 10th again a fuel company, Vopak E.O.S. AS.

 

The list of payment of labour taxes and payments (private individuals' income tax, social tax, unemployment insurance taxes and savings pension) was led by Elion with 3.9 million euros, followed by Eesti Energia Kaevandused AS (3.8 million), and Swedbank (3.7 million).
