BC, Vilnius, 26.09.2014.Print version
According to the data of credit system Mano Creditinfo, Lithuanian residents' arrears for financial, telecommunications and other services in August 2014 amounted to LTL 3.57 billion (EUR 1.03 billion) and were by LTL 1.3 million (EUR 376,000) greater than in early summer, informs LETA/ELTA.

38,300 residents have arrears lower than LTL 100 (EUR 29). The statistics show at least one arrear per 275,000 Lithuanian residents. The record about the debt remains in the credit history for 10 years after it is covered.

According to the credit bureau, in August compared with July, people more often referred to telecommunications, consumer credit and leasing companies over credit services that are dependent on a person's credit history. Meanwhile, less people addressed banks or credit unions.

It is thought that the demand for telecommunications, consumer credit and leasing services was mostly related to the new education year that started in September.
