Latvian drug wholesaler Elpis decreases its turnover in 2013

Drug wholesaler Elpis profit significantly decreased in 2013, as information provided by Firmas.lv indicates, cites LETA/Nozare.lv.

The company's profit in 2013 was EUR 566,497, in 2012 – EUR 1.37 million.

 

Meanwhile, the company's turnover decreased 9% – from EUR 29.23 in 2012 to EUR 26.45 in 2013.

 

Elpis management report indicates that the company sells medication and medical products, as well as supplies commodities to pharmaceutical companies.

 

In 2013, in collaboration with producers from India and China, the company launched a new product line of dried fruits, vegetables, and spices.

 

The company exports part of its products to Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia. Meanwhile, medical supplies and medication are imported from Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Denmark, and CIS countries.

 

Elpis was founded in 1994. Its share capital is EUR 213,430. The company is owned by Janis Leitans – 90.27%, Eduards Leitans – 3.25%, Juris Leitans – 3.25%, and Igors Gockis – 3.24%.
