Latvian supermodel Ginta Lapina is involved in two lawsuits with her former agency, according to New York newspaper NY Daily News, cites LETA.

The model filed suit against her agency Men Women N.Y. Model Management, claiming that it misled her into doing an advertising campaign for Schwarzkopf, and paid her a tiny sum for the job.

The agency invited her to take a photo shoot in Paris, telling her it was for designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Lapina told that she received EUR 15 200 for the shoot, although usually models of her rank get paid six-figure sums.

She also was not informed that the photos are for "Schwarzkopf" shampoo advertising campaign, and, furthermore, as the model claimed, that this is "not a brand of her caliber."

Lapina is seeking more than $1 million in damages from the Men Women N.Y. Model Management, as well as a court order prohibiting Schwarzkopf from using her pictures.

Her former agency has filed its own lawsuit against the model for unlawful breach of the contract.

The 25-year-old Lapina is now one of the highest-ranked models in the world.
