Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevicius, Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas and President of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists Robertas Dargis have discussed the search for new export destinations and proposals for the Economic Diplomacy Council (EDT), informs LETA/ELTA.

Launched a year ago, the EDT has approved 27 priority directions for economic diplomacy. This has been implemented taking into account interests of Lithuania's business export, attraction of investment, importance of implementation of regional infrastructure projects, and tourism flows.

"Today we feel the need to refine Lithuanian industrial export priorities. We must muster the existing capabilities, agree and decide in the Economic Diplomacy Council over additional representation of Lithuania in regions of potential markets – appointment of economic advisors in diplomatic representations, business missions, visits of high-ranking officials," said Linkevicius.
