Liepajas metalurgs requests extension of legal protection plan deadline

Liepaja Court consultant Ingrida Sintlere told LETA that the request would be forwarded to the judge on Liepajas metalurgs legal protection case, who would have to make the decision on whether the deadline may be postponed or not.
As reported, the State Treasury has reviewed the legal protection plan proposed by Liepajas metalurgs, establishing several deficiencies.
Last week, Liepajas metalurgs creditors held a meeting, hearing out the company's management on legal protection plan matters and agreeing that the company's management would work on adjusting them and improving its legal protection plan.
The Liepaja Court decided to launch legal protection proceedings for Liepajas metalurgs on May 27.
