The Estonian Confederation of Trade Unions (ECTU) earned a loss of 70,441 euros in 2012, writes LETA/Postimees Online.

A year before, the organisation had earned a loss of 60,579 euros.

The chairman of ECTU Peep Peterson stated that the loss is mostly an accounting loss, due to depreciation.

“The financial loss amounted to approximately 10,000 euros, combined by a number of different factors, and this should not re-occur this year,” said Peterson. “I hope that in the perspective of a couple of years, I will be able to report a profit, i.e. increase reserves,” he added.

The Estonian Confederation of Trade Unions unites 20 trade union associations.
