"We saw a decline in all segments, including color laser, which is traditionally the most dynamic part of the HCP market," told BC Marcin Klessa, research analyst with IDC Poland. "The main factors arose from two vendors – Samsung experienced a temporary supply shortage, and Konica Minolta shifted focus to midrange and high-end devices. In addition, the color inkjet segment was most affected by Canon’s production shortage after the earthquake in Japan in March 2011."
Latvia's HCP market was the only one among the Baltic States to increase in value in the first half of 2012, with value expanding by over 9%. The Lithuanian and Estonian HCP markets declined in value year on year by more than 5% and 7%, respectively.
IDC's Central and Eastern European Quarterly HCP Tracker delivers timely intelligence and an inclusive database detailing changes and trends in the Baltic States HCP market. The tracker enables users to view data by volume, value, country, year, quarter, vendor, technology, product, speed segment, or price band.
