Next year, LNO budget will be increased by extra LVL 1.2 million, Culture Minister Zaneta Jaunzeme-Grende (VL-TB/LNNK) told reporters.
The opera is need of new stage technologies. Its current technologies are outdated. Their costs will be estimated, promised the minister, predicting them at around LVL 1 million, writes LETA.
LNO Managing Director Andrejs Zagars was delighted with the government's support and pointed out that the additional funds will suffice to ensure LNO operations this year.
