Georgia and Lithuania sign memorandum of cooperation in agriculture

Print versionGeorgian Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Zaza Gorozia and his Lithuanian counterpart Kazys Starkevicius participated in a forum entitled "Demonstration of new technologies in agriculture", which was held in Batumi on Friday, Gorozia and Starkevicius signed a memorandum of multilateral cooperation between Georgia and Lithuania in the agricultural sector, as Trend.az reports.

The one-day conference was also attended by Chairman of Adjara's government Levan Varshalomidze and Minister of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic Donara Surmanidze, informs LETA/ELTA.
Recommendations presented by the participants at the forum contribute to the deepening of cooperation between Georgia and Lithuania in the agricultural sector, exchange sharing, strengthening of trade relations, and growth of exports.
Starkevicius with his Georgian counterpart inspected greenhouse of ornamental flower growing and various vegetable crops equipped with modern technologies.
