Lithuanian GALA includes Showtime channel for its customers

The channel list of Digital GALA television from July 1 2010 will include Showtime in Lithuania, one of the most popular movie channels in the world, TEO LT reports. Throughout Lithuania subscribers of Digital GALA will be able to watch the channel showing works of the most famous movie makers around the clock without commercial breaks.

In June TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, and the company NonStop Television representing the channel Showtime signed an agreement on exclusive rights to broadcast the channel in Lithuania. Broadcasting the world's most popular action movies, dramas, thrillers, science fiction and movies of other genres in their original languages, the Showtime channel also offers thematic evenings – Asian Rage on Wednesdays and Horror Night on Thursdays, informs LETA/ELTA.

 

Broadcast by TEO digital terrestrial television (DVB-T) networks, Digital GALA service is provided to more than 47,000 people throughout Lithuania. They can watch up to 40 channels in Lithuanian, English, Russian and other languages.

 

For private and business customers TEO also provides Interactive GALA digital television services that are used by more than 58,000 customers. One third of them order additional channel packages, every seventh uses the online video rental services, and almost every fifth plays games on his/her TV screen.
