Analog television turned off in entire Latvia

Print versionLatvia completed the switch from analog television to digital broadcasting overnight, Latvian State Radio and Television Center informed LETA.

Analog broadcasting in Riga Region was turned off on April 1 already. TV5 went digital already on December 1 last year, LTV7 – on March 1 this year, whereas LNT and LTV1 began the transition process on April 1 and completed it last night.
Yesterday, TV3 signed an agreement with the communications company Lattelecom on switching its analog transmission to digital today, June 1.
