Valmiera Fibreglass group achieved 4.6% increase in turnover last year

The Valmieras Stikla Skiedra fiber glass group achieved EUR 119.5 million in turnover last year, which was a 4.6% increase on the previous year, according to the company's annual financial report submitted to the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.

The group's losses were at EUR 3.8 mln in 2019.


Meanwhile, joint-stock Valmieras Stikla Skiedra achieved EUR 88.7 mln in turnover last year, which was by 2% less than the previous year.


In 2019, Valmieras Stikla Skiedra exported its manufactured products to 51 countries around world, with 98% of its products being exported. Of the total exports, 68% were sold in the European Union, 21% in North America, 2% in the CIS and 9% exported to other countries.

As reported, Valmieras Stikla Skiedra fiberglass producer closed 2019 with EUR 122.013 mln in turnover, while the concern's loss reached EUR 14.383 mln.


Valmieras Stikla Skiedra group comprises the parent company Valmieras Stikla Skiedra and its three subsidiaries: Valmiera Glass UK Ltd. in the United Kingdom, Valmiera Glass USA Corp. and Valmiera Glass USA Trading Corp. in the United States. Valmieras Stikla Skiedra shares are quoted on the Secondary List of the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.
